What is the Hifu Machine?
HIFU is an advanced technology that helps tighten muscles and eliminate fat, improving skin elasticity. It also smooths fine lines and wrinkles.
HIFU is safe for almost everyone, but it’s important to do your research before deciding on which machine to purchase. Look for a machine that is FDA and CE certified.
What is HIFU?
HIFU is a non-invasive treatment for lifting and tightening the skin. It is the preferred technology of top aesthetic doctors due to its fast results that improve over time. It is often referred to as the ‘lunch time face lift’ Hifu Machine as it is so quick and painless, with only mild redness or light bruising afterwards.
It works by using ultrasound energy to target the deep dermal layer called the SMAS. This is the actual area that a plastic surgeon would pull and tighten during a surgical facelift, but with the added benefit of no incisions. The heat from the ultrasound energy destroys targeted cells and triggers the body to repair those damaged cells, thus creating new collagen fibres and giving a tightening and lifting effect.
The treatment is completely safe and backed by medical research. However, it’s important to understand that HIFU isn’t suitable for everyone. It’s best suited for people with mild to moderate facial skin laxity. It is not recommended for those with very loose or sagging skin, and it’s also not suitable for those with metallic implants in the treatment area.
Prior to your HIFU session, you’ll need to remove any makeup and cleanse the area. Then, the physician or technician will apply an ultrasound gel to the surface of the skin. They’ll then place the handheld HIFU device against your skin, and they’ll begin to deliver ultrasound energy.
How does HIFU work?
HIFU works by delivering targeted energy to the deeper layers of skin. This energy targets the fatty and collagen layers, the same layer that is tightened during cosmetic surgery. The ultrasound energy penetrates these layers to create a’micro injury’ which causes the body to produce more collagen and elastin, which tightens the skin and smoothes wrinkles.
Unlike lasers or surgical facelifts, HIFU is noninvasive and doesn’t damage the surface of the skin. This means there is no downtime and you can return to work or your daily activities immediately after your treatment. HIFU can also be used on other parts of the body, including the abdomen and thighs, to firm up loose skin.
In addition to skin tightening, HIFU can also be used to treat other skin problems. It can be used to reduce fine lines around the eyes, such as crow’s feet and laugh lines, and lift drooping eyelids to restore a more youthful appearance. It can also be used on the neck or jawline to reduce loose skin and restore a more defined look.
The latest 7D HIFU technology breaks the previous limits of HIFU treatments by allowing the treatment to reach further into the tissues to treat more areas than before. This includes the anterior prostate which was previously difficult to target using a non-invasive technique.
What are the benefits of HIFU?
Hifu is a great way to improve skin tone and texture, iron out fine lines and wrinkles, shrink pores, target the ‘V’ line formation and jowl lines and lift the cheeks and jawline. It’s also a fantastic alternative to a surgical facelift. It may be less effective if your skin is very loose or sagging, though.
The HIFU machine Super lift is an advanced technology that uses time-tested ultrasound energy to tighten the muscles and stimulate collagen production. This allows you to get real results without the cost, pain and recovery of a surgical facelift.
HIFU delivers the heat deep into the muscle tissues, which is what makes this treatment so effective. The heat causes a micro injury below the surface of the skin and triggers the body’s natural healing response, producing collagen. Over time, this creates firmer and tighter skin with reduced jowls and wrinkles and enhanced facial structure and elasticity.
HIFU is also very safe and has a high safety profile. It is a completely noninvasive procedure, so there is no downtime or risk of infection. Some people experience slight redness and swelling immediately after treatment, but this usually fades quickly. If you’re thinking about undergoing a HIFU facelift, I would Hifu Machine highly recommend booking a consultation to ensure it is suitable for you.
What are the risks of HIFU?
HIFU is safe and non-invasive, but it’s not suitable for everyone. Your doctor will check your medical history before you have HIFU treatment. You can’t have HIFU if you have cancer that has spread or is difficult to see on imaging tests (metastatic prostate cancer). You’ll also need an MRI scan before having HIFU to find the location of the tumour.
You’ll have a local anaesthetic applied before your HIFU treatment. Then the ultrasound waves will be delivered to target the area you want to treat. This will cause some discomfort, but the latest HIFU machines are much less painful than older devices. Ours uses the innovative “Safety Assist Transducer” technology to increase comfort and deliver a more precise result with fewer treatments.
Some men can have an infection in their testicles or the tubes that carry sperm after having HIFU treatment. You might need antibiotic tablets. You can avoid this risk by avoiding direct sunlight after having HIFU and telling your doctor or nurse if you develop pain, swelling or redness in one or both of your testicles.
Both women and men who have lax skin that hasn’t suffered too much sun damage are good candidates for HIFU. It can tighten the skin around your eyes for a refreshed look. It can lift a sagging brow for a more open, alert appearance and tighten the jawline for a sharper, more defined shape. It can also shrink fat in your abdomen, flanks and thighs through a process called coagulative necrosis, where the cells die and are naturally removed from the body within a few days.
