LED Wash Lights

Many customers will flock to a brightly lit carwash, as they instinctively feel safer and happier in well-lit areas. Integrated LED lighting amplifies this feeling and further increases the customer experience.

Some LED wash lights come with DMX functionality, allowing them to be connected to a lighting rig and perform the same effect or colour at the same time, creating a professional looking light show.

Colour Changeability

Colour changeability is a key factor when buying wash lights, especially if you’re going to be using them for different events. The number of colours you can achieve on a light is usually measured in degrees Kelvin (K). Lower temperatures (2700-3000K) look warm and more orange and yellow compared to a more natural daylight white (4000-6500K) that has more of a blue hue.

Most of the LED wall washers we offer come with RGB diodes that produce a wide range of colours and hues. Changing the current sent to each red, Moving head light supplier green and blue diode results in the different colour combinations that you see on the display screen. Some of today’s top LED wash lights even have the capability to create more than 16 million colours!

Most of the LED wash lights we sell also feature DMX connections. This allows you to connect them to a larger lighting rig and control them as one, synchronising the effects they perform and the colour changes they make. This is a huge benefit when it comes to creating a rockin’ light show for your guests.

DMX Control

LED wash lights can be hooked up to a DMX controller so you can run automated, sound-activated or manual programs. You can control a single light, multiple lights in different zones or even a whole venue with one touch buttons of pre-mixed colors or built-in chases and strobe settings.

You can find a simple, user-friendly DMX controller that is perfect for anyone looking to get started with this type of lighting or to expand their existing setup. It features a compact design and four channels for RGBW (red, blue, green, and white/amber) outputs.

Each fixture, DMX decoder or LED driver needs its own DMX address and it’s essential that the correct amount of channels are used in order to achieve your desired effect or color/dimming level. Each DMX decoder or controller can only handle so much wattage and if it exceeds that figure a signal amplifier will need to be incorporated into the system.

DMX is a uni-directional protocol that transmits data in the form of binary code which allows it to be processed by the receivers. It’s a great system that is ideal for lighting effects for stage shows but can also be used in many other applications such as bars, clubs, schools and churches.

Master/Slave Synchronisation

If you want to light up an entire marquee or venue and achieve a synchronised lighting display then you may need multiple LED wash lights. This is where master/slave synchronisation comes in handy. This feature is available on some of our products and simply means that you can connect one fixture to another using a daisy chain (Light 1 Out to Light 2 In, then Light 2 Out to Light 3 In etc). This enables the fixtures to perform the same effect or colour at the same time, providing a professional-looking synchronised display.

This is also a great feature for stage lighting, as it allows you to create automated and sound-activated patterns that can be played across multiple units, keeping everything in time with the performance. The majority of our uplighting wall washers have this DMX connection, so this is something to look out for when browsing our range.

Weatherproof

Whether you want to brighten up your garden, highlight trees in the distance, or draw attention to focal points like your entranceway, there’s a wash LED light for you. Most models are weatherproof, so you can use them in a range of different locations and events without worrying about damage or maintenance.

Depending on the size of your venue, you might need to purchase multiple wash lights to achieve your desired effect. Many manufacturers offer DMX functionality that allows you to connect your lights to a lighting rig and use them together. This is especially useful if you plan on using the lights in stage productions, as it makes them more versatile and customizable to your needs.

If you’re looking for a waterproof LED strip, look for an IP rating of 65 or higher. These strips are able to withstand jets of water from any direction, but they won’t be able to be submerged in water. Some manufacturers also offer silicon encased LED strips that can be used in wet locations, such as patio lining, channel letter and signage, and under counters in splash areas.
